Main - About us
History of the Budakeszi methodist congregation started in 1998 Spring when several elderly methodist brothers moved to the Márta Mária Senior's Residence - the practice of Bible studies gathered new impetus, when the pastor's family moved to Budakeszi. Services have been held regularly since September 2001 and the congregation was accepted as the Budakeszi district of the Hungarian Methodist Church at the 2003 Annual Conference.
The congregation has members from the Senior Residence as well as members from the neighbourhood, young families with children from Budakeszi and from nearby villages.
It is extremely important from the point of view of existence of the local church that there be appropriate rooms that belong exclusively to us. Many people from the wider neighbourhood are also waiting for this to happen. This is vital from a missionary point of view, too.
Since May 2007 the congregation has an own transitional home, an own room in the nursery school (a room for prayers and religious studies). This room also regular ly hosts a Korean congregation who hold their services in the Russian language.
In 2009 construction works of our new church building started.
